Composition in Yellow (working title)

This is the beginnings of the new painting. After experimenting with various colors, yellow seems to emerge as the primary color. Haven't worked with yellow in some time, and it is a challenge to create a palette in yellow that is complex and layered. I have tentatively titled this painting "Composition in Yellow" (an homage to Whistler), though this is more in tune to the abstractness of music which seems to fit with how I see my paintings.
