

Chroma. Gray. Blue.
Chroma. Gray. Blue. continues to progress. As a painting develops, there always comes a point where additional palette-triangles need to be made. That point is reached when I find there are no more existing palette-triangles that fit the section of the painting that is being worked on. There are always unused palette-triangles that can be used in different parts of the same painting, or can be saved for another painting.

I think of Chroma. Gray. Blue. as a companion to the previous painting Chroma Gray. I am continuing to explore horizontal and vertical lines. In both paintings, colors run horizontally, and graphite "drawn" lines run vertically. In Chroma Gray vertical lines are quite delicate, almost like woven fabric, here the vertical lines are bolder.
